What is a Mochling?

A squishy mochi creature with 11 trait layers: background, pattern, shape, color, ears, belly, eyes, mouth, cheeks, headwear and accessory. There are 5,555 of them, and no two are the same.

How much does it cost?

0.1 NEAR per Mochling, plus a tiny network fee. You can mint up to 10 in one transaction.

Where is the art stored?

Inside the NEAR contract. It stores your Mochling's traits and renders the SVG itself. Our website mirrors the same image for marketplaces, byte for byte.

How many Mochlings will there be?

Exactly 5,555, minted in order from #1 to #5,555. The contract will never mint more.

How does the whitelist work?

Connect your NEAR wallet on the whitelist page, sign a free message to prove the wallet is yours (no transaction, no fees) and add your X handle. Approved wallets get an allowance of up to 2 Mochlings during the whitelist phase, before the public mint opens. Come back any time to check your status.

When does minting start?

The contract goes live once enough friends have joined the whitelist. Whitelisted wallets mint first, then the public mint opens. Check back here for the launch.

Are there royalties?

Yes, 5% on secondary sales through marketplaces that support NEAR's royalty standard (NEP-199).

Which wallets can I use?

Any NEAR wallet in the connect dialog, such as HOT, Meteor, Intear or MyNearWallet. For the whitelist, pick one that can sign messages. We will never ask for your seed phrase.
